Edward was born and raised in Malaysia, a multi-cultured and diverse country, that inspired his curiosity and creativity from an early age. He belongs to a new generation of multidisciplinary designers that bring an artistic methodology when crafting his design and spaces – an approach that he has honed after spending time living in Shanghai, Hongkong and London during his formative years as a designer.

Since establishing Spacemen in 2014, Edward has gone on to complete projects of all scales ranging from commercial office towers, and exhibition centres, to high-tech experiential centres as well as luxury retail and hospitality projects. He specialises in building brand architecture that seizes client’s primary strategies and ideologies to transform into a one-of-a-kind spatial journey that tell stories and leave an emotional impact. His unique design language embodies his fascination to organic forms and a careful consideration for the human experience. With each new projects comes an element of discovery and a sense of unpredictability.

Edward has gained international acclaim while his work has graced the most influential design platforms around the world, garnering multiple awards over the years. In 2019, Edward was also recognized as ‘Hotshots, Emerging Designers of 2019’ by Interior Design magazine.
